বর্তমানে তাঁদের খোঁজে এলাকায় চিরুনি তল্লাশি চালাচ্ছে নিরাপত্তা বাহিনী। ঘটনাস্থলে বেশি সংখ্যক নিরাপত্তা বাহিনী মোতায়েন করা হয়েছে। ঘটনার প্রসঙ্গে কাশ্মীরের আইজি বিজয় কুমার জানিয়েছেন, এই হামলার পিছনে হাত রয়েছে লস্কর জঙ্গিদেরই। ইতিমধ্যেই এলাকায় তীব্র আতঙ্ক সৃষ্টি হয়েছে।
