মঙ্গলবার ভিডিও কনফারেন্সে প্রধানমন্ত্রী নরেন্দ্র মোদী উদ্বোধন করতে চলেছেন ম্যারিটাইম ভারত সামিট - ২০২১। বন্দর, জাহাজ চলাচল ও জলপথ মন্ত্রক-এর উপস্থিতিতে আয়োজিত হতে চলেছে ম্যারিটাইম ভারত সামিট ২০২১। এই সামিট ভার্চুয়ালি www.maritimeindiasummit.in -সাইটে ২য় মার্চ থেকে ৪ঠা মার্চ পর্যন্ত সংঘটিত হবে।
এই সম্মেলনে আগামী দশকে সামুদ্রিক বানিজ্যে ভারতের ভূমিকা নিয়ে আলোচনা করা হবে। এই সম্মেলনের মূল লক্ষ্য হল – আন্তর্জাতিক সামুদ্রিক বাণিজ্যে ভারতে সামনে নিয়ে আসা। বিভিন্ন দেশ থেকে আগত বক্তারা এই সম্মেলনে ভারতের সামুদ্রিক বানিজ্যের সম্ভাবনা ও বিনিয়োগ নিয়ে আলোচনা করবেন। তিনদিনের এই সম্মেলনে ডেনমার্ক পার্টনার রাষ্ট্র হিসাবে উপস্থিত থাকবে।
এই সম্মেলন ৩ লাখ কোটি টাকার বিনিয়োগের সাক্ষী হবে এবং ৪০০ টি এমওইউ (মেমোর্যান্ডাম অফ আন্ডারস্ট্যান্ডিং) সাক্ষরিত হবে।
সূত্রে জানা গেছে, এই ভার্চুয়াল সম্মেলনে প্রায় ১ লাখ ৭০ হাজারের মতো মানুষ রেজিস্টার করেছে এবং ১০০-এরও বেশি কোম্পানি এই সম্মেলনে অংশগ্রহণ করবে। বৃহস্পতিবার “চাবাহার ডে” হিসাবে পালন করা হবে। উক্ত দিনে আর্মেনিয়া, আফনাগিস্তান, ইরান, রাশিয়া, উজবেকিস্তান সহ মোট ২৪টা দেশ অংশগ্রহণ করবে।
