মঙ্গলবার অর্থাৎ ১৮ মে বঙ্গের রাজ্যপাল জগদীপ ধনকড়ের জন্মদিন। গতবছর করোনা মহামারীর কারণে জন্মদিন উৎযাদব করতে পারেননি রাজ্যপাল। সম্প্রতি এই বছরের পরিস্থিতিও একই রয়েছে। করোনার দ্বিতীয় ঢেউয়ে নাজেহাল বঙ্গবাসী। সঙ্গে আবার ভোট পরবর্তী হিংসা। এই দুই ঘটনা একসঙ্গে হয়ে উত্তপ্ত করে রেখেছে রাজ্যকে। এই কারণেই এবারের জন্মদিনও অনাড়ম্বরেই কাটবে তাঁর। সেকথা নিজেই সোমবার রাত্রে টুইট করে জানিয়েছেন রাজ্যপাল।
এই টুইটে তিনি লেখেন, "করোনা ও ভোট পরবর্তী হিংসার কারণে গত বছরের মতো এবছরও আমার জন্মদিন উদযাপন করা হচ্ছে না।"
পাশাপাশি মুখ্যমন্ত্রীকে তোপ দিয়ে কলকাতা ও রাজ্যপুলিশের উদ্দেশ্যে তিনি বলেন, "কোভিডবিধি ও লকডাউনের নিয়ম মানুন। হিংসার ঘটনার দিকে নজর দিন।"
ইতিমধ্যেই ধনকড়ের টুইটেই তাঁর জন্মদিনের শুভেচ্ছা জানিয়েছেন নীতিন গড়কড়ি সহ আরো একাধিক মানুষ।
