রাজ্যে ভোট পরবর্তী হিংসার জেরে ঘরছাড়া হতে বাধ্য হয়েছে বহু বিজেপি নেতা কর্মী। বাগনানের এক ঘরছাড়া বিজেপি নেতা মিঠুন চক্রবর্তী, তাঁর বাবার শারীরিক অসুস্থতার খবর শুনে বাড়ি ফিরছিলেন। সেই পথেই বিজেপি নেতাকে গাছে বেঁধে বেধড়ক মারধোর করে তৃণমূলের কিছু দুষ্কৃতী বলে অভিযোগ ওঠে।
উল্লেখ্য, ভোটের ফলাফল বার হওয়ার পর থেকেই ঘরছাড়া ছিলেন বাগনানের ৩ নম্বর মণ্ডলের যুব মোর্চার সহ-সভাপতি মিঠুন চক্রবর্তী। শুক্রবার বিকেলে তাঁর বাবার অসুস্থতার খবর পেয়ে তিনি বাড়ি ফেরার জন্য বেরোন। কিন্তু সেই পথেই তৃণমূল কর্মীরা তাঁর ওপর হামলা চালায় বলে অভিযোগ। তাঁকে গাছে বেঁধে বেধড়ক মারধোর করে হয়। কয়েকঘন্টা পর গুরুতর জখম অবস্থায় পুলিশ তাঁকে উদ্ধার করে বাগনান গ্রামীণ হাসপাতালে নিয়ে যায়। তারপর সেখান থেকে তাঁকে উলুবেড়িয়া মহকুমা হাসপাতলে স্থানান্তরিত করা হয়।
ভোট পরবর্তী সময়ে বিজেপি কর্মীরা ভয়ে ঘরছাড়া হয়ে জঙ্গলে আশ্রয় নিয়েছেন। তাঁদের বাড়ি ফেরানোর আর্জি নিয়ে আদালতের দ্বারস্থ হয় বিজেপি। তারপর আদালতের তরফে রাজ্য সরকার এবং পুলিশকে ঘরছাড়াদের ঘরে ফেরানোর নির্দেশ দেওয়া হয়।
