করোনা সংক্রমণের হার যেভাবে বেড়ে চলেছে, তাতে যথারীতি চিন্তায় রয়েছে জনগন। এই মারণ ভাইরাসের সঙ্গে লড়তে একমাত্র ভরসা শুধু ভ্যাকসিনের ওপর। সেই ভ্যাকসিনের অভাব দেখা গিয়েছে প্রচুর পরিমাণে। এই সংকটের মধ্যেই রাজ্যে কিছুটা হলেও স্বস্তি পাওয়া গেল। রাজ্যের নতুন করে এল আরও ৭৫ হাজার কোভ্যাকসিন ডোজ। শনিবার সকাল ৮ টা নাগাদ স্বাস্থ্য দফতরের আধিকারিকদের তত্ত্বাবধানে এয়ার ইন্ডিয়ার বিমান সেই ভ্যাকসিন নিয়ে নামল হায়দ্রাবাদ থেকে কলকাতা বিমানবন্দরে। সেখান থেকে ভ্যাকসিন নিয়ে যাওয়া হয়েছে বাগবাজার সেন্ট্রাল স্টোরে।
রাজ্য সরকার কোভ্যাক্সিন ও কোভিশিল্ড মিলিয়ে মোট ৩ লক্ষ ৬৬ হাজার ডোজের বরাত দিয়েছিলেন। গত রবিবার সেই বরাত থেকেই ১ লক্ষ কোভ্যাক্সিন পাঠানো হয়েছিল। শনিবার ফের ৭৫ হাজার কোভ্যাকসিন ডোজ এল রাজ্যে। সম্প্রতি রবিবার থেকেই বিভিন্ন টিকাকরণ কেন্দ্রে পাঠানো হবে এই টিকা।
স্বাস্থ্য দফতরের রিপোর্ট অনুযায়ী, রাজ্যে গত ২৪ ঘন্টায় করোনা আক্রান্ত হয়েছেন ২০ হাজার ৮৪৬ জন। গত ২৪ ঘন্টায় মারা গিয়েছেন ১৩৬ জন। পাশাপাশি রাজ্যে সুস্থ হয়েছেন ১৯ হাজার ১৩১ জন।
