একদিকে করোনা পরিস্থিতি, সঙ্গে আবার বেড়েছে পেট্রোল ডিজেলের দাম। ফলে সমস্যায় পড়তে হচ্ছে বাস মালিকদের। করোনা আবহে এমনিতেই যাত্রী সংখ্যা কম, তার মধ্যেই হু হু করে বাড়ছে জ্বালানি তেলের দাম। তাই আর্থিক সঙ্কটের মুখে রয়েছেন বাস মালিকরা। তাই নিজেদের পরিস্থিতির কথা উল্লেখ করে কাছে আর্জি জানাচ্ছেন বাস মালিক সংগঠনের কর্তারা। সঙ্গে পোস্টার হতে নিয়ে পথে বসেছেন তাঁরা। পোস্টারে লেখা রয়েছে, 'দিদি আমাদের বাঁচান'
বুধবার পোস্টার হতে নিয়ে জ্বালানির বৃদ্ধিতে প্রতিবাদ দেখল বাস মালিক সংগঠনের কর্তারা। তাঁদের দাবি, যে ভাবে পেট্রোল-ডিজেলের মূল্যবৃদ্ধি হচ্ছে তাতে বাস পরিষেবা সচল রাখা কোনোভাবেই সম্ভব হচ্ছে না। তাই ডিজেলের মূল্যবৃদ্ধির ক্ষেত্রে পদক্ষেপ গ্রহণ করার আর্জি জানিয়েছেন তাঁরা মুখ্যমন্ত্রীর কাছে।
এই ঘটনার প্রেক্ষিতে সংগঠনের কর্তা প্রদীপ নারায়ণ বসু বলেন, "বর্তমান পরিস্থিতিতে দাঁড়িয়ে আমাদের কিছু করার নেই। সমস্ত কিছু ছেড়ে দিয়েছি মুখ্যমন্ত্রীর ওপরে। তিনি যা সিদ্ধান্ত নেবেন, তাই হবে। ভাড়া বাড়ানো বা অন্য কোনও দাবি আমরা জানাব না, কিন্তু মুখ্যমন্ত্রীকে আমাদের কথা শুনতে হবে। তাতে যদি কাজ না হয়, তাহলে ১৬ তারিখের পর রাজ্যে বিধি-নিষেধ উঠে গেলেও বাস চালাব না।"
