রাইজিং বেঙ্গল নিউজ ব্যুরো: আন্তর্জাতিক মহিলা দিবসে রেল মন্ত্রক বিশেষভাবে মহিলাদের সম্মানিত করল। সোমবারে আন্তর্জাতিক নারী দিবসে মুম্বাই থেকে লক্ষ্ণৌ পর্যন্ত চলল এক বিশেষ ট্রেন। এই বিশেষ ট্রেনে ড্রাইভার থেকে শুরু করে গার্ড সবাই ছিল মহিলা। উল্লেখ্য যে, এই ট্রেন প্রথম মহিলা ট্রেন ড্রাইভার সুরেখা যাদব চালালেন।
এ প্রসঙ্গে রেল মন্ত্রী টুইট করে বললেন, "নারীশক্তি রেল: আন্তর্জাতিক মহিলা দিবসে ভারতীয় রেলের প্রথম মহিলা ড্রাইভার সুরেখা যাদব মুম্বাই থেকে লক্ষ্ণৌ পর্যন্ত ট্রেন চালালেন। একই সঙ্গে ট্রেনের সমস্ত দায়িত্ব মহিলা কর্মীরা পালন করেছিল"।
উল্লেখ্য যে, ৮ই মার্চ আন্তর্জাতিক মহিলা দিবস পালন করা হয়। এই দিবস উপলক্ষ্যে সামাজিক, আর্থিক, রাজনৈতিক, ও সাংস্কৃতিক অনুষ্ঠানের আয়োজন করা হয়। একই সঙ্গে সেই সমস্ত মহিলাদের স্মরণ করা যারা জীবনে বিভিন্ন বাধার সম্মুখীন হয়েও নিজেকে প্রতিষ্ঠা করতে পেরেছে। এ ছাড়াও, বুন্দেলখন্ড থেকে ঝাঁসি পর্যন্ত নারীশক্তি ট্রেন চলল। এই নারীশক্তি ট্রেনেও সমস্ত কর্মী নারীই ছিল।
