খোদ ইসলাম অধ্যুষিত দেশ ইন্দোনেশিয়ার বিদ্যালয়গুলিতে ধর্মীয় পোশাক বিধি পড়া বাধ্যতামূলক না করার নির্দেশ সরকারের। এই নির্দেশ আসে একটি ভিডিও ভাইরাল হওয়ার পরে। ভিডিওটিতে দেখা যায় একটি খ্রীস্টান ছাত্রীকে বাধ্য করা হয়েছিল মাথায় স্কার্ফ পড়তে। বছর ১৬এর এই ছাত্রীকে স্কুলে মুসলিম মাথায় স্কার্ফ পড়তে বলার সেই ভিডিও ভাইরাল হয়ে যায়।
যা নিয়ে ইন্দোনেশিয়ার খ্রীস্টান সম্প্রদায়ের মধ্যে খুব আলোড়ন তৈরি হয়। তারপরেই সরকার এই নির্দেশ দেয়। ৩০দিনের মধ্যে সব স্কুলকে এই নির্দেশ পালন করতে কড়াভাবে বলেন সে ইন্দোনেশিয়ার সরকার।
ইন্দোনেশিয়ার শিক্ষামন্ত্রী নাদিয়েম মাকারিম তাঁর বিবৃতিতে জানান যে, কে কী পোশাক পড়বে তা ব্যক্তিগত পছন্দ ও অপছন্দের উপর নির্ভরশীল, তা কখনো স্কুল ঠিক করে দিতে পারে না।
বুধবার সরকারি এই নির্দেশ দেওয়া হয়। যেসকল স্কুল সরকারি নির্দেশ অমান্য করে হিজাব বা পোশাক পরতে ছাত্রীদের বাধ্য করবে, তাদের সরকারি অনুদান পরবর্তী পর্যায়ে পেতে বেগ পেতে হবে বলেও সরকারি হুঁশিয়ারি দেয় সরকার।
