একুশের বিধানসভা নির্বাচন উপলক্ষ্যে ভারতীয় জনতা পার্টি নিজ ইস্তেহারে আন্তর্জাতিক বাণিজ্যিক দরবারে বাংলাকে উন্নতির শিখরে নিয়ে যাওয়ার প্রতিশ্রুতি দিল।
গৃহমন্ত্রী অমিত শাহ ২১শে মার্চ ভারতীয় জনতা পার্টির ইস্তেহার প্রকাশ করেন। এই ইস্তেহারে বিজেপি ভারতের প্রতিবেশী দেশ বাংলাদেশ, নেপাল ও ভুটানের সঙ্গে জলপথে ও স্থলপথে যোগাযোগ ব্যবস্থা আরও সুদৃঢ় করার চেষ্টা করার প্রতিশ্রুতিও দিয়েছে।
এক বরিষ্ঠ বিজেপি নেতার বক্তব্য অনুযায়ী, “বাংলার নিজেকে আন্তর্জাতিক বানিজ্যে নিজেকে প্রতিষ্ঠা করার ক্ষমতা আছে। বাম ও তৃণমূল আমলে বাংলা নিজের সেই ক্ষমতাকে চিনতে পারেনি। আমরা বাংলায় সেই পরিবর্তন আনব, যারা দ্বারা পশ্চিমবঙ্গ ভারতের সবচেয়ে উন্নত রাজ্যগুলির মধ্যে একটা হবে”।
সুত্রের খবর অনুযায়ী, বিজেপি ক্ষমতায় এলে বাংলার জন্য বহু নতুন পরিকাঠামোর প্রস্তাব আছে বিজেপির কাছে। বিজেপির কাছে বাংলাদেশের তেঁতুলিয়া হয়ে ইসলামপুর থেকে জলপাইগুড়ি ৬ কিমি লম্বা সেতু নির্মাণের পরিকল্পনা রয়েছে এবং এছাড়াও কলকাতা, গুয়াহাটি ও সিলচারের মধ্যে স্থলপথ তথা রেল-বাসের মাধ্যমে যোগাযোগ ব্যবস্থা গড়ে তোলার পরিকল্পনাও রয়েছে।
এছাড়াও তারা জানিয়েছেন যে, বিজেপি ক্ষমতায় এলে ভারত ও বাংলাদেশের জলবণ্টন সমস্যাও মিটিয়ে দেবে।
উল্লেখ্য যে, পশ্চিমবঙ্গে ২৭শে মার্চ থেকে ২৯ এপ্রিল পর্যন্ত নির্বাচন চলবে এবং ভোটের ফল বেরোবে ২রা মে।
