একুশের নির্বাচনে পর থেকেই জাতীয় রাজনীতির মুখ হিসাবে প্রচার হচ্ছে তৃণমূল নেত্রীর মুখ, জাতীয় স্তরের বিভিন্ন নেতা এমনটাই দাবি করেছেন। মুখ্যসচিব আলাপন বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়কে ঘিরে টানটান উত্তেজনা সহকারে প্রধানমন্ত্রী-মুখ্যমন্ত্রী বিবাদ আবারও এই প্রসঙ্গকে জাগিয়ে দিল।
তৃণমূল নেতা মনোজ তিওয়ারি টুইটারে হ্যাশট্যাগ দিয়ে পোস্ট করেন, “বাঙালি প্রধানমন্ত্রী মমতা”। এই টুইটে তিনি এও লেখেন যে, “বাংলা আজ যা ভাবে, ভারত কাল ভাবে। সোনার মডেল পুরোপুরি ব্যর্থ। ওদের জন্য দেশ ভুগছে। কিন্তু, দিদির উন্নয়ন মডেলের মাধ্যমে আমাদের এগিয়ে নিয়ে চলেছেন। আগামী দিনগুলি এইরকমই আমরা চাই”।
