বাঁশবেড়িয়ার তৃণমূল নেতার গুলিকাণ্ডে গ্রেপ্তার পুরপ্রশাসকের স্বামী সহ আরও ২ জন। যার মধ্যে রয়েছে প্রাক্তন চেয়ারম্যান তথা পুর প্রশাসকের দায়িত্বে থাকা অরিজিতা শীলের স্বামী সোনা শীলকে। সঙ্গে গ্রেফতার করা হয় সোনা শীলের দেহরক্ষী সুমন বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায়কেও। হুগলির বাঁশবেড়িয়ার প্রাক্তন ভাইস চেয়ারম্যান আদিত্য নিয়োগীকে গুলি করার ঘটনায় এদের গ্রেফতার করেছে চুঁচুড়া থানার পুলিশ।
উল্লেখ্য, গত ১১ মে হুগলির বাজারে গুলি করা হয় আদিত্য নিয়োগীকে। সেই অবস্থাতেই তিনি অভিযোগ তুলেন সোনার ওপর। আদিত্য বলেন, "সোনার লোকজন আমাকে মেরে ফেলার চেষ্টা করেছিল। ওরা এর আগেও আমায় বহু মিথ্যে মামলায় জড়িয়েছিল। এবার খুন করতে চেয়েছিল।"
অবশ্য এই ঘটনার ২৪ ঘণ্টা পেরোতে না পেরোতেই বাঁশবেড়িয়া পুরসভার প্রশাসক পদ থেকে সরানো হল অরিজিতা শীলকে। তাঁর জায়গায় নতুন পুরপ্রশাসক আনা হল প্রাক্তন উপ পুরপ্রধান তথা স্থানীয় তৃণমূল নেতা আদিত্য নিয়োগীকে। মঙ্গলবার সকালে অরিজিতার স্বামী সত্যরঞ্জন শীল আদিত্যকে লক্ষ্য করে গুলি চালানোয় গুরুতর জখম অবস্থায় হাসপাতালে ভর্তি ছিলেন তিনি।
এই ঘটনায় স্থানীয় তৃণমূল নেতৃত্ব অভিযোগ করে বলেন, "আদিত্যর সঙ্গে সোনার দীর্ঘ দিনের দ্বন্দ্ব। এমনকি পুরসভার প্রাক্তন প্রশাসক অরিজিতা এবং তাঁর স্বামীর বিরুদ্ধে আর্থিক তছরুপ এবং দুর্নীতির ভূরি ভূরি অভিযোগ রয়েছে। ভোটের আগে গোপনে বিজেপি-র সঙ্গে তাঁরা যোগাযোগ স্থাপন করেছিল বলেও শোনা গিয়েছে। দীর্ঘদিন ধরেই আদিত্যকে খুনের পরিকল্পনা চলছে।"
