গত বছরের আমফান ঘূর্ণিঝড়ের রেশ কাটতে না কাটতে এই বছর আবার চলে এল যশ ঘূর্ণিঝড়। কিন্তু আগের বছর যা ক্ষতি করেছিল আমফান, তা এখনও পুরোপুরি ভাবে ঠিক হয়নি। সুন্দরবন সহ তাজপুর বাঁধের দুর্দশার চিত্রটা সেই আমফানের পর যেমন ছিল, তেমনই রয়েছে। এক কথায় বলতে গেলে, আমফান সুন্দরবনের সমস্ত নদীবাঁধগুলি ধ্বংস করে দিয়েছিল। সেগুলি এখন শুধু মাটি দিয়ে ঠেকানো রয়েছে। এবার সেই মাটির বাঁধই আতঙ্ক সৃষ্টি করেছে সুন্দরবনবাসীর মনের মধ্যে।
গত বছরের আমফানে সুন্দরবন সহ দুই ২৪ পরগনার মোট ১৯ টি ব্লকের নদীগুলিতে আমফান সবচেয়ে বেশি ক্ষতি করেছিল। সঙ্গে ভেসে গিয়েছিল বিঘার পর বিঘা জমি, ঘরবাড়ি। তাই এই বছরের যশ ঘূর্ণিঝড় নিয়েও অত্যন্ত চিন্তিত রয়েছেন তাঁরা।
ইতিমধ্যেই বঙ্গোপসাগর থেকে তৈরি হওয়া গভীর নিম্নচাপ ঘূর্ণিঝড়ে পরিণত হয়েছে। উপগ্রহ চিত্র দেখে স্পষ্ট জানিয়ে দেওয়া হয়েছে আবহাওয়া দফতর থেকে। রবিবার সন্ধ্যে থেকেই এই গভীর নিম্নচাপ পশ্চিমবঙ্গ ও ওড়িশা উপকূলের দিকে অনেকটা এগিয়েছে। এবার বদলাতে শুরু করল রাজ্যের আবহাওয়া। ইতিমধ্যেই কলকাতার সহ দক্ষিণবঙ্গের বেশ কয়েকটি জেলায় বৃষ্টি শুরু হয়ে গিয়েছে।
