“ভারতের প্রতিবেশী দেশ হিসাবে, ভারত পাকিস্তানের সঙ্গে বন্ধুত্বপূর্ণ সম্পর্ক তৈরি করতে চায়, এর জন্য বিশ্বাসের, আতঙ্কবিহীন ও বিরোধিতা শূন্য পরিবেশ গড়তে হবে”, তিনি বললেন।
সরকারী সূত্রে জানা গেছে, প্রত্যেক বছরই নিয়ম মাফিক এই চিঠি পাঠানো হয়ে থাকে। এছাড়াও প্রধানমন্ত্রী নরেন্দ্রমোদী ইমরান খান ও পাকিস্তানকে করোনা মহামারী কাটিয়ে সেরে ওঠার শুভেচ্ছা বার্তা দিলেন। বিশেষজ্ঞরা মনে করছেন, ভারত ও পাকিস্তানের মধ্যে ইতিবাচক সম্পর্ক গড়ে ওঠার সংকেত দেখতে পাওয়া যাচ্ছে।
বিগত মাসে, ভারত ও পাকিস্তান পুনরায় এল.অ.সি. (লাইন অফ কন্ট্রোল) ২০০৩-এর “সিজ ফায়ার” বজায় রাখতে সহমত হয়েছে।
