সাংবাদিক সূত্রে জানা গেছে, এটি একটি ‘এয়ার অ্যাম্বুলেন্স’। এই ‘এয়ার অ্যাম্বুলেন্স’ অনুমতি ছাড়াই এক রোগীকে ও এক ডাক্তারকে নিয়ে নাগপুর থেকে হায়দ্রাবাদের দিকে যাচ্ছিল। এই উড়ন্ত অবস্থাতেই এই বিমানের একটি পা খারাপ হয়ে যায়। এরপরে, তাড়াহুড়োতে এই ‘এয়ার অ্যাম্বুলেন্স’ মুম্বাই রুটের দিকে রওনা হয়।
উল্লেখ্য, ল্যান্ডিং-এর সময় এই বিমানের কোনো অসুবিধা হয়নি, ভালোভাবে ল্যান্ড করে গেছে। একই সঙ্গে এও জানা গেছে যে, রোগী, ডাক্তার এবং চালক সবাই সুস্থ ও সুরক্ষিত আছেন।

সূত্রের খবর অনুযায়ী, জানা গেছে যে, বিমানটি নাগপুর এয়ারপোর্ট থেকে ‘টেক অফ’ করার অর্থাৎ ওড়ার সময়েই সময়েই পাইলট কিছু যান্ত্রিক গোলযোগ বুঝতে পারেন। এরপরেই তিনি জানতে পারেন যে, নাগপুর থেকে টেক অফের সময়েই বিমানের একটি পা বিমান থেকে বিচ্ছিন্ন হয়ে মাটিতে পড়ে গেছিল। উক্ত পরিস্থিতিতেও তিনি ঘাবড়ে না গিয়ে স্থির মস্তিষ্কের পরিচয় দেন এবং ঠান্ডা মাথায় উপস্থিত বুদ্ধির পরিচয় দিয়ে বিমানটিকে তৎক্ষণাৎ ল্যান্ড করার সিদ্ধান্ত নেন। পাইলটের এই সিদ্ধান্তের কারণেই একটি বড়ো ধরণের দুর্ঘটনা হতে হতে হল না এবং তিনজনেই বেঁচে গেলেন।
