মুক্তিযোদ্ধা টনিক সেন ও একাত্তরের রক্তাক্ত জান্দি গ্রাম
১৯৭১-এর ২ রা মে ৩১ জন হিন্দুর তাজা রক্তে ভিজে উঠলো পূর্ববঙ্গের ফরিদপুরের জান্দি গ্রাম। কি ছিল এদের অপরাধ? অপরাধ, এরা হিন্দু। ১৯৭১-এর ২১ শে এপ্রিল শ্রীঅঙ্গন মন্দির চত্বরে পাক হানাদার বাহিনী যে নারকীয় গণহত্যা চালায়, তার জেরে ফরিদপুরের হিন্দুরা ঘরবাড়ি ছেড়ে নিরাপদ আশ্রয়ের খোঁজে ওই শহর ছেড়ে বিভিন্ন জায়গায় চলে যান।
এই দলে ছিলেন স্থানীয় আওয়ামী লীগ সমর্থক পেশায় হিন্দু ব্যবসায়ী টনিক সেন। তিনি বাংলাদেশ মুক্তিযোদ্ধাদের জ্বালানি ও গোলা-বারুদ সরবরাহ করে ইতিমধ্যেই পাক সেনাবাহিনীর বিষ নজরে ছিলেন। পাক হানাদার বাহিনী তাঁকে ধরতে রীতিমতো তৎপর ছিল।
একদিন সে সুযোগ এসেও গেল। ফরিদপুর শহর ছেড়ে অন্যান্যদের সঙ্গে পরিবার-পরিজন নিয়ে টনিক সেনও আশ্রয় নিয়েছিলেন জান্দি গ্রামে। কিন্তু শেষ রক্ষা হলো না। স্থানীয় রাজাকারদের সহায়তায় ১৯৭১-এর ২ রা মে জান্দি গ্রামে ঢুকে গেল পাক হানাদার বাহিনীর একটি দল
প্রথমে গ্রামের লোকজনকে আটকাতে ঘিরে ফেলা হলো গোটা জান্দি গ্রাম। তারপর মেশিনগান থেকে চললো গুলি। শেষে মৃত্যু নিশ্চিত করতে বেয়নট দিয়ে খুঁচিয়ে খুঁচিয়ে মারা হলো। এ ঘটনায় প্রাণ গেল ৩১ জন নিরীহ হিন্দুর।
না, এখানেই শেষ নয়। পুরুষদের হত্যা করার পাশাপাশি হিন্দু মেয়েদের ওপর পাশবিক অত্যাচার করে শেষ পর্যন্ত তাদেরও খুন করা হলো। আতঙ্কে ঘরবাড়ি ছেড়ে শহর থেকে দূরে পালিয়ে গিয়েও প্রাণ দিতে হলো জান্দি গ্রামের ৩১ জন হিন্দুকে। এই নারকীয় গণহত্যা আজও যেকোনও সভ্য মানুষকে লজ্জা দেবে। অথচ এটাই ঘটনা।
