রাইজ়িং বেঙ্গল নিউজ় ব্যুরো: এবার থেকে করোনা রোগীদের প্লাজমা থেরাপি প্রয়োগ করে করোনা চিকিৎসা করা যাবে না। এক্ষেত্রে ইন্ডিয়ান কাউন্সিল অফ মেডিক্যাল রিসার্চ অনেক আগেই জানিয়েছিল, প্লাজমা থেরাপি তেমন কার্যকরী হচ্ছে না। কারণ, প্লাজমা থেরাপি প্রয়োগ করে কোনভাবেই বন্ধ করা যাচ্ছে না করোনা আক্রান্তদের মৃত্যু ও শারীরিক অবস্থার অবনতি। এইসব কারণে জন্য করোনা রোগীদের ক্লিনিক্যাল ম্যানেজমেন্ট গাইডলাইনস থেকে বাদ দেওয়া হল প্লাজমা থেরাপি।
গত রবিবার, দীর্ঘ আলোচনায় বসেছিল টাস্ক ফোর্সের সদস্যরা। সেই আলোচনাতেই উঠে আসে প্লাজমা থেরাপির বন্ধ করার কথা। কারণ তাদের বক্তব্য অনুযায়ী, একাধিক চিকিৎসায় ঠিকভাবে প্রয়োগ করা হয়নি প্লাজমা থেরাপি। সেইসঙ্গে যেসকল চিকিৎসায় প্রয়োগ করা হয়েছে, সেখান থেকেও ভালো ফলাফল হয়নি। এইসব কিছুর জন্য অবশেষে ইন্ডিয়ান কাউন্সিল অফ মেডিক্যাল রিসার্চ এই থেরাপি বন্ধ করার সিদ্ধান্ত নিল।
উল্লেখ্য, চলতি বছরের মার্চ মাসে কেন্দ্রীয় স্বাস্থ্য মন্ত্রক করোনার ক্লিনিক্যাল ম্যানেজমেন্ট গাইডলাইনসে প্লাজমা থেরাপিকে সংযুক্ত করেছিল। ডাক্তারি ভাষায় এর নাম দেওয়া হয় 'কোভিড-১৯ কনভালেসেন্ট প্লাজমা ট্রান্সফিউশন'। যে সকল করোনা রোগীরা সুস্থ হয়ে উঠেছেন তাঁদের রক্ত থেকে প্লাজমা সংগ্রহ করা হত। এবারে সেইখান থেকে অ্যান্টিবডি তৈরি করে করোনা রোগীদের ক্ষেত্রে ব্যবহার করা হত।
