রাইজ়িং বেঙ্গল নিউজ় ব্যুরো: করোনার টিকাকরণে প্রথম ডোজ দেওয়ার নিরিখে আমেরিকাকে পিছনে ফেলে দিয়েছে ভারত। শুক্রবার নীতি আয়োগের সদস্য ডঃ ভিকে পাল জানিয়েছেন, আমেরিকার তুলনায় ভারতে টিকাকরণের সংখ্যা বেশি, প্রথম ডোজ় প্রাপ্ত জনসংখ্যার নিরিখে। তিনি আরও জানিয়েছেন, ভারতে এখনও পর্যন্ত প্রথম ডোজ পেয়েছেন মোট ১৭.২ কোটি মানুষ। ভারতে টিকাকরণের এই সংখ্যা আমেরিকাকে পিছনে ফেলে দিয়েছে।
দেশের সমস্ত জনগণকে টিকাকরণের প্রসঙ্গে ডঃ ভিকে পাল জানিয়েছেন, 'দেশের প্রত্যেককে টিকা দিতে এখনও কিছুটা সময় লাগবে আমাদের।' পাশাপাশি তিনি আরও জানিয়েছেন, করোনা সংক্রমণ কমতেই আমরা সকলে ফের আগের মতো সাধারণ জীবনযাপন করতে শুরু করি। ঠিক যেমন জানুয়ারি-ফেব্রুয়ারি মাসে শুরু করেছিলাম। সেইকারণে ফের করোনা সংক্রমণ ঊর্ধ্বমুখী হয়েছিল।
ওদিকে, কেন্দ্রীয় স্বাস্থ্যমন্ত্রকের যুগ্ম সচিব লভ আগরওয়াল জানিয়েছেন, 'দেশজুড়ে ক্রমাগত সংক্রমণ কমছে। বেশকিছু জেলায় দৈনিক ১০০ জনের করোনা আক্রান্তের খোঁজ মিলেছে। তবে ২৫৭ টি জেলায় দৈনিক আক্রান্তের খোঁজ মিলেছে ১০০-র বেশি। এর মধ্যে ৩৭৭ টি জেলায় সংক্রমণের হার ৫ শতাংশেরও কম।' দেশে বৃহস্পতিবারের তুলনায় শুক্রবার দৈনিক সংক্রমণ হ্রাস পেয়েছে। এ বিষয়ে কেন্দ্রীয় স্বাস্থ্য ও পরিবার কল্যাণ মন্ত্রক জানিয়েছেন, ২৪ ঘণ্টায় দেশে করোনামুক্ত হয়েছেন এক লক্ষ ৯৭ হাজার ৮৯৪ জন।
