রাইজিং বেঙ্গল নিউজ় ব্যুরো: সোমবার ও মঙ্গলবার ১৫ ও ১৬ মার্চ দেশজুড়ে সরকারি ব্যাঙ্ক ধর্মঘট। দশ লক্ষ ব্যাঙ্ককর্মী এই ধর্মঘটে যোগ দেবেন, ফলে টাকা জমা দেওয়া, চেক ক্লিয়ার হওয়া, টাকা তোলা, অন্যান্য লেনদেন কার্যত বন্ধ থাকবে। তবে এটিএম খোলা থাকবে।
নয়টি ব্যাঙ্ক ইউনিয়নের সংযুক্ত মঞ্চ, ইউনাইটেড ফোরাম অফ ব্যাঙ্ক ইউনিয়ন দুদিনের ধর্মঘট ডেকেছে। এমনিতেই সেকেন্ড স্যাটারডে বলে শনিবার ও রবিবার ব্যাঙ্ক বন্ধই ছিল। তার সঙ্গে আরও দুদিন যোগ হওয়ায় পরপর চারদিন বন্ধ থাকছে ব্যাঙ্কের সব কাজ।
কেন্দ্রীয় অর্থমন্ত্রী নির্মলা সীতারামণ কেন্দ্রীয় বাজেট ঘোষণায় আইডিবিআই ছাড়াও দুটি ব্যাঙ্ক ও একটি বিমা সংস্থার বেসরকারিকরণের কথা ঘোষণা করার পরেই এই ধর্মঘটের সিদ্ধান্ত নেয় সংযুক্ত মঞ্চ। সরকারের বিলগ্নিকরণের মাধ্যমে ১৭৫ লক্ষ কোটি টাকা কোষাগারে আনার পরিকল্পনার প্রতিবাদ জানিয়েছে ব্যাঙ্ক ইউনিয়নগুলি।
স্টেট ব্যাঙ্ক অফ ইন্ডিয়া, কানাড়া ব্যাঙ্ক গ্রাহকদের জানিয়েছে তাঁদের স্বাভাবিক কাজকর্ম ব্যাহত হবে। তবে এইচডিএফসি ব্যাঙ্ক, আইসিআইসিআই, কোটাক মহীন্দ্রা, অ্যাক্সিস ব্যাঙ্ক, ইন্ডাসইন্ড ব্যাঙ্কে অবশ্য স্বাভাবিক কাজ হবে।
