কোভিড পরিস্থিতিতে ত্রিপুরার মানুষের পাশে দাঁড়িয়ে ৫৭৯ কোটি টাকার প্যাকেজ ঘোষণা করল ত্রিপুরার মুখ্যমন্ত্রী বিপ্লব দেব সরকার। এমনকি রাজ্যের ৭ লক্ষ পরিবারকে ১ হাজার টাকা করে আর্থিক সাহায্য করার কথাও বলেছেন তিনি। অবশ্য এই টাকা বিপিএল ও এপিএল পরিবারের মধ্যে যে পরিবারগুলি দরিদ্র তাঁদের দেওয়া হবে বলে জানান রাজ্য সরকার। সরাসরি ব্যাঙ্ক ট্রান্সফারের মাধ্যমে এই টাকা দেওয়া হবে। এই জন্য রাজ্য সরকারের ৭০ কোটি টাকা খরচ হবে।
মুখ্যমন্ত্রী বিপ্লব দেব সরকার বলেন, "সামাজিক পেনশন ভোগীদের এক সঙ্গে দু’ মাসের পেনশন সরাসরি ব্যাঙ্ক ট্রান্সফারের মাধ্যমে দেওয়া হবে। এই খাতে রাজ্য সরকারের খরচ হবে ৭২ কোটি টাকা। অন্যদিকে, টুয়েপের কাজের জন্য খরচ হবে ২৫ কোটি টাকা এবং রেগার কাজের জন্য খরচ হবে ৩৩২ কোটি টাকা, যা গ্রামবাসীদের দেওয়া হবে।"
এছাড়াও ত্রিপুরা সরকার সিদ্ধান্ত নিয়েছেন যে, আর্থিক ভাবে অস্বচ্ছল পরিবারগুলিকে ফুড প্যাকেট দেওয়া হবে। এই বাবদ ত্রিপুরা সরকারের কোষাগার থেকে খরচ হবে ৮০ কোটি টাকা। এছাড়াও রাজ্য উন্নয়নের পাশাপাশি কোভিড চিকিৎসার ব্যবস্থা, অক্সিজেন প্লান্ট নির্মাণেও বিপুল অর্থ খরচ করছে রাজ্য সরকার।
