বাংলাদেশের ঈদে সরকারি ছুটির তিন দিন শ্রমিকদেরকে কর্মস্থলে থাকতে হবে -- শ্রম প্রতিমন্ত্রী
রাইজিং বেঙ্গল ঢাকা ব্যুরো: শ্রম ও কর্মসংস্থান প্রতিমন্ত্রী বেগম মন্নুজান সুফিয়ান বলেছেন, ঈদের সরকারি ছুটি তিনদিন। গার্মেন্টসসহ সকল শিল্প খাতের শ্রমিকদের ছুটি পাওনা থাকলে কারখানা পর্যায়ে মালিক-শ্রমিক সমন¦য় করে সিদ্ধান্ত নেবেন। তবে ছুটি যে কয়দিনই নেন, অবশ্যই কর্মস্থলেই থাকতে হবে। আজ রোববার (৯ মে) রাজধানী ঢাকার বিজয়নগরে শ্রম ভবনের সম্মেলনকক্ষে আরএমজি বিষয়ক ত্রিপক্ষীয় পরামর্শ পরিষদ-টিসিসি'র সভায় সভাপতির বক্তৃতায় প্রতিমন্ত্রী এ কথা বলেন।
প্রতিমন্ত্রী বলেন, মালিকগণ আগামীকালের মধ্যে অবশ্যই শ্রমিকদের বেতন-বোনাসসহ সকল পাওনা পরিশোধ করবেন। সভায় উপস্থিত মালিক প্রতিনিধিগণ আগামীকালের মধ্যে প্রায় শতভাগ কারখানার শ্রমিকদের বেতন-বোনাস পরিশোধের আশ্বাস দেন।
প্রতিমন্ত্রী বলেন, সরকার স্বাস্থ্য বিশেষজ্ঞদের পরামর্শে গ্রামের বাড়িতে না গিয়ে সবাইকে নিজ নিজ কর্মস্থলে ঈদ উদ্যাপন করার নির্দেশনা দিয়েছে। আপনারা সকলে কষ্ট করে হলেও মাস্ক পরুন, স্বাস্থ্যবিধি মেনে চলুন। জীবনের ঝুঁকি নিয়ে আপনারা বাড়ি যাবেন না। যেখানে আছেন এবারের ঈদ সেখানেই উদযাপন করুন। এতে আপনি যেমন নিরাপদে থাকবেন, আপনার পরিবার পরিজন নিরাপদ থাকবে, দেশ নিরাপদে থাকবে।
সভায় মন্ত্রণালয়ের সচিব কে এম আব্দুস সালাম, অতিরিক্ত সচিব ড.রেজাউল হক, কলকারখানা ও প্রতিষ্ঠান পরিদর্শন অধিদপ্তরের মহাপরিদর্শক মো. নাসির উদ্দীন আহমেদ, শ্রম অধিদপ্তরের মহাপরিচালক গৌতম চক্রবর্তীসহ গার্মেন্টস শিল্পের বিভিন্ন সংগঠনের নেতৃবৃন্দ অংশগ্রহণ করেন।
