রাইজিং বেঙ্গল ঢাকা ব্যুরো: বাংলাদেশের কৃষিমন্ত্রী ড. মোঃ আব্দুর রাজ্জাক এমপি রোববার (৩০ মে) তাঁর নির্বাচনী এলাকায় মধুপুর উপজেলা পরিষদের মাসিক সাধারণ সভায় প্রধান অতিথির বক্তব্যে তিনি এ কথা বলেন।
তিনি বলেন, এক বছরেরও বেশি সময় ধরে আমরা করোনা মহামারি মোকাবিলা করেছি। শুরুতে সবাই ধারণা করেছিল করোনায় অর্থনৈতিক মন্দা ও স্থবিরতায় দেশে খাদ্য সংকট দেখা দিবে। কিন্তু প্রধানমন্ত্রী শেখ হাসিনার দূরদর্শিতা ও প্রজ্ঞায় সেটা হয়নি। তিনি করোনার শুরু থেকে নানা পদক্ষেপ গ্রহণ করেছেন।
মন্ত্রী বলেন, করোনায় দেশে খাদ্য নিয়ে কোনো হাহাকার হয়নি। সংকট হয়নি খাদ্যের। সম্প্রতি জাতিসংঘের খাদ্য ও কৃষি সংস্থাও (এফএও) করোনাকালে বাংলাদেশের খাদ্য নিরাপত্তা নিয়ে প্রশংসা করেছে।
