রাইজিং বেঙ্গল ঢাকা ব্যুরো: ইথিওপিয়ায় নিযুক্ত বাংলাদেশের রাষ্ট্রদূত মোঃ নজরুল ইসলাম ইথিওপিয়ার রাষ্ট্রপতি Ms. Sahle-Work Zewde-এর নিকট বুধবার (২ জুন) পরিচয়পত্র পেশ করেছেন। রাষ্ট্রদূত ইথিওপিয়ার সরকার এবং জনগনের জন্য বাংলাদেশের রাষ্ট্রপতি, প্রধানমন্ত্রী ও পররাষ্ট্র মন্ত্রীর শুভেচ্ছা পৌছে দেন।
তিনি বর্তমান সরকারের সময়ে বাংলাদেশের বিস্ময়কর আর্থ-সামাজিক উন্নয়ন, মুজিব শতবর্ষ উদযাপন ও স্বাধীনতার সুবর্ণ জয়ন্তী উপলক্ষে সরকার কর্তৃক গৃহীত বিভিন্ন পদক্ষেপসমূহ তুলে করেন এবং বাংলাদেশের অভিজ্ঞতা ও বাংলাদেশীদের পেশাদারী নৈপুণ্য ইথিওপিয়ার উন্নতিতে কাজে লাগানোর প্রস্তাব করেন।
ইথিওপিয়ার রাষ্ট্রপতি বর্তমান সরকারের অধীনে বাংলাদেশের সার্বিক আর্থ-সামাজিক উন্নতির অকুণ্ঠ প্রশংসা করেন এবং অর্থনীতি ও সামাজিক উন্নয়নের বিভিন্ন ক্ষেত্রে বাংলাদেশের অভিজ্ঞতা থেকে ইথিওপিয়া মূল্যবান শিক্ষা নিতে পারে বলে অভিমত প্রকাশ করেন। তিনি বলেন যে বাংলাদেশের প্রবর্তিত ক্ষুদ্র ঋণ ও নারীর ক্ষমতায়ন অন্যান্য সকলের জন্য একটি উজ্জ্বল দৃষ্টান্ত। তিনি বাংলাদেশী উদ্যোক্তাদের ইথিওপিয়ার বিশেষায়িত অঞ্চলসমূহের বিশেষ সুবিধার সুযোগ নিয়ে বিনিয়োগের আহবান জানান। রাষ্ট্রদূত কৃষি ও শান্তি রক্ষায় বাংলাদেশের সাফল্য উল্লেখ করে এই দুই ক্ষেত্রে দু'দেশের মধ্যে আরো সহযোগিতা বৃদ্ধির প্রস্তাব করেন।
