রাইজিং বেঙ্গল ঢাকা ব্যুরো: বাংলাদেশের তথ্য ও সম্প্রচার মন্ত্রী এবং আওয়ামী লীগের যুগ্ম সাধারণ সম্পাদক ড. হাছান মাহমুদ বলেছেন ভারতের পাশাপাশি অন্যান্য দেশ থেকেও সরকার করোনা টিকা আনার উদ্যোগ নিয়েছে।
আজ বুধবার (২১ এপ্রিল) বাংলাদেশ সচিবালয় ক্লিনিকে করোনাভাইরাসের দ্বিতীয় ডোজ গ্রহণের পরে সাংবাদিকদের সাথে মতবিনিময়কালে তিনি একথা জানান।
মন্ত্রী বলেন করোনা দ্বিতীয় ডোজের প্রাপ্যতা নিয়ে অনেক সংশয় ছড়ানো হয়েছিল। কিছু পত্রপত্রিকা, প্রচারমাধ্যম ও সামাজিক যোগাযোগ মাধ্যমে অনেক অপপ্রচার চালিয়ে করোনার দ্বিতীয় ডোজ নিয়ে জনগণের মাঝে সংশয় তৈরির অপচেষ্টা করা হয়েছিল। কিন্তু বাস্তবতা হচ্ছে ইতিমধ্যে প্রায় ১৭ লাখ মানুষ করোনা টিকার দ্বিতীয় ডোজ নিয়েছে।
ড. হাছান আরও বলেন প্রধানমন্ত্রী শেখ হাসিনা এই করোনা মহামারীর মধ্যে মানুষকে স্বাস্থ্য সুরক্ষা দেয়ার জন্য প্রথম থেকেই সচেষ্ট ছিলেন এবং সেই কারণে এই মরণঘাতী করোনা মহামারি মোকাবিলা ও জনগণকে করোনা ভ্যাকসিন দেয়ার ক্ষেত্রে বাংলাদেশ অনেক উন্নত দেশের তুলনায় এগিয়ে আছে।
তথ্য ও সম্প্রচার মন্ত্রী এসময় গণমাধ্যমকে ধন্যবাদ জানিয়ে বলেন, গুজব প্রতিরোধে আপনারা সবসময়েই সচেষ্ট ছিলেন, এখনো নানা ধরনের গুজব রটনার অপচেষ্টার বিরুদ্ধে আপনাদেরকে সোচ্চার থাকার অনুরোধ জানাই।
