মাথাপিছু আয় বাংলাদেশের বেড়ে দাঁড়িয়েছে ২ হাজার ২২৭ ডলারে
রাইজিং বেঙ্গল ঢাকা ব্যুরো: বাংলাদেশের মাথাপিছু আয় ২ হাজার ৬৪ মার্কিন ডলার থেকে বৃদ্ধি পেয়ে ২ হাজার ২২৭ মার্কিন ডলারে (১ লাখ ৮৮ হাজার ৮৭৩ টাকা) দাঁড়িয়েছে। সোমবার (১৭ মে) বাংলাদেশের প্রধানমন্ত্রী শেখ হাসিনার সভাপতিত্বে মন্ত্রিসভার বৈঠকে সরকারের পরিকল্পনামন্ত্রী এম এ মান্নান এ কথা বলেন।
বৈঠকের পর বাংলাদেশ মন্ত্রিপরিষদ সচিব খন্দকার আনোয়ারুল ইসলাম সাংবাদিকদের ব্রিফ করেন। প্রধানমন্ত্রী গণভবন থেকে এবং মন্ত্রিপরিষদের অন্যান্য সদস্যরা বাংলাদেশ সচিবালয় থেকে ভার্চুয়ালি এই বৈঠকে যোগ দেন।
মন্ত্রিপরিষদ সচিব বলেন, ‘২০২০-২১ অর্থ-বছরে আমাদের মাথাপিছু আয় ২ হাজার ২২৭ মার্কিন ডলারে উন্নীত হয়েছে। এর আগে মাথাপিছু আয় ছিল ২ হাজার ৬৪ মার্কিন ডলার। তাই, এই প্রবৃদ্ধি ৯ শতাংশ বৃদ্ধি পেয়েছে।’
তিনি আরো বলেন, প্রতি ডলারের বিপরীতে টাকার মান ৮৪.৮১ ধরে ১ লাখ ৮৮ হাজার ৮৭৩ টাকা হিসেবে করা হয়েছে। তিনি আরো বলেন, দেশের জিডিপিও বৃদ্ধি পেয়েছে। জিডিপি বৃদ্ধি পেয়ে ২৭, ৯৬, ৩৫৮ কোটি টাকা থেকে এখন ৩০, ৮৭, ৩০০ কোটি টাকায় পৌঁছেছে। এটি অত্যন্ত ভাল অর্জন।
১৭ মে সোমবার প্রধানমন্ত্রী শেখ হাসিনার ৪০তম স্বদেশ প্রত্যাবর্তন দিবস উল্লেখ করে তিনি বলেন, এই শুভ দিনেই অর্জনটি প্রকাশ পেল। সভায়, স্বদেশ প্রত্যাবর্তন উপলক্ষ্যে প্রধানমন্ত্রীকে শুভেচ্ছা জানানো হয়।
